Recommended Product Use
For best performance, holding power, and safety, SandShark recommends the following:
Use one anchor per watercraft only
Use of a 7–14 or 7–21 bungee line is recommended (sold separately) to help absorb shock from waves, wakes, and changing water conditions
Attach the bungee line carabiner or plastic tab as low as possible on the anchor for proper load distribution
Use of a chain is recommended with fluke-style anchors (sold separately) to improve anchor angle and holding performance
Proper amount of scope and anchor line length is extremely important (line sold separately) for safe anchoring and proper holding power
Always anchor according to water conditions, weather conditions, watercraft size, and bottom composition
Using a single anchor to secure multiple watercraft can place excessive strain on the product and may result in damage, reduced holding performance, or unsafe anchoring conditions.
What Is Covered
Our warranty covers manufacturer defects only, including:
Defects in materials
Defects in workmanship
Product failures occurring during normal, intended use
If a product is determined to have a manufacturer defect within the warranty period, SandShark may repair, replace, or provide replacement parts at our discretion.
What Is Not Covered
Because marine products are exposed to changing conditions and heavy use, some types of damage are considered wear, misuse, or environmental damage rather than manufacturer defects.
The following are not covered under warranty:
Damage caused by severe or unsafe weather conditions
Use outside of normal marine operating conditions
User error or misuse
Using one anchor for multiple watercraft
Improper attachment or rigging to the anchor or watercraft
Running over the product with a boat, trailer, or watercraft
Failure to use proper scope or anchor setup
Failure to properly secure attachment points
Normal wear and tear
Corrosion or cosmetic wear from marine exposure
Bending or breaking caused by excessive force, improper use, or incorrect anchoring conditions
Understanding Manufacturer Defects vs. Misuse
A manufacturer defect means the product failed because of an issue with how it was made or the materials used.
Examples may include:
Weld failure under normal use
Defective hardware
Material flaws
Misuse or environmental damage occurs when outside conditions or improper use place forces on the product beyond its intended design.
Examples may include:
Damage from storms or rough water conditions
Excessive strain from improper setup
Impact damage
Using the anchor outside recommended applications
Using one anchor to secure multiple watercraft
Improper scope or insufficient line length
Incorrect attachment point setup
Bending caused by improper anchoring angles or overload situations
Because anchoring conditions can vary greatly depending on weather, water conditions, bottom composition, watercraft size, and setup, bent or broken products are typically considered operational or usage-related damage rather than manufacturer defects.
